On September 18, 2021 Coastal Cleaning Day, students of M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® partnered with the City of Berkeley and Ocean Conservatory to clean the Marina Bay to collaborate with the community and spread the important message “Thou Shall not waste”, balance, harmony and sustainability. The California Coastal commission reported 74,000 volunteers collected 900,000 pounds of trash from beaches and water ways throughout California.
